My wish list

Unread postby plicpriest1 » Tue Jan 29, 2013 12:08 pm

First before I continue the title suggests, I would like to say that I do appreciate all the hard work that has gone into Railsimulator. Both from RSC to the third party developers. All great stuff.

So with that said I have thought up a few wish list Ideas that may one day make it into the Railsimulator.
1. Realistic starting on all locomotives (as in open the door to the engineroom and start priming and cranking)

2. Realistic use of any of the flat screen displays in the locomotive (such as programing in the train number, or checking system status)

3. Speaking of systems really model them with what locomotives really have (each engine is unique, a great example is the air flow meter for the breaks)

4. When I do screw up and derail or whatever, not having the game exit. I would like to personally inspect (be my own little NTSB) where I went wrong.

5. More interraction with the dispatcher (quick drives for instance) . In the real world the dispatchers are very important to the movement of trains.

These are just a few thought I had. Any others? I came up with these because unfortunately I will probably never get to drive a real locomotive in the real world *!sad!* . So I figure why not make Railsimulator "as real as it gets"? Ya I know I stole that line from somewhere *!!wink!!* .

Not to burst your bubble on a more realistic update to ts2013, but there is Run8. It has some of the things you want updated.

AFMs can be done, just requires a little know how. Why RSC doesn't do it? I dunno?

Just remember folks.
From the guidelines:We ask that references or comparisons to other sims be minimized and kept in context with a positive attitude, or not used at all, so we can keep this experience a positive one.

With any luck, there will be a BNSF ES44AC (New SH Model) for Marais Pass. Unless they decided on a 90's time frame.

I doubt they'll bother. They've been testing with the dash 9
