PA working fine here. Don't forget use of the selector control.

For those of you like me that still couldn't figure this out until I waved the mouse all over the place that dark obscure item is the 'selector control'.

Hi all,

The Selector control on the PA is in the correct position to start driving at scenario start. You only need to use it when you want to operate the dynamic brakes.

Don't forget to release both indy and train brake before setting off. As with probably most non-self lapping brakes in RW, the independent is applied in this engine at scenario start to prevent the train rolling away too much when it's starting on a grade. Besides that, it's reverser forward, throttle up, and away she goes.

Cheers,
Michael

Mine wasn't in the one position at start up. I had to move it to there. That's why I had the problem. I didn't realize it needed to be there. Starting it in a free roam scenario at least it's in the 'OFF' 'IDLE' position.

Hi Buzz,

Thanks much for those additional details. I have just tested this in a freeroam and saw it too that the selector is indeed in the OFF position in that case -- but for a strange reason, it's only that way in FreeRoam. !**conf**! It works as I've described above in the other play modes (Selector in "1" at scenario start and ready to go). Must be in some way related to the engine not being active at scenario start in FR. We'll investigate.

Cheers,
Michael

Hi all,

The previously announced post-release patch for the Boston & Albany route is now live. It will install automatically through Steam.

Patch changelog is here:
https://forums.dovetailgames.com/thread ... ost-640896

In other good news, the B&A route can now also be used with the Workshop (the in-game file verification process will no longer refuse scenarios for it).

Cheers,
Michael

Thanks for the heads-up about this. After closer investigation, it looks that some external file links to the original provider folder tree of the RS-3 have slipped into the recently updated files. Which clearly should not have happened and we're sorry that this slipped past our attention. We'll get this fixed!

Cheers,
Michael
