Still bummed that it isn't a bigger discount for those of us who all ready bought all the NJT stuff that is now included.

I get a discount.

I don't think anyone's posted a review yet, so I'll go:

I think this route is fantastic! As far as commuter routes go, the Morristown line seems to have almost everything: varied scenery, a winding (non-straight and flat) profile, interesting stations, and plenty of single level, multi-level, and EMU action. The build quality is as good as any US routes DTG have worked on. I appreciate how much work went into setting up Quick Drives starting at every station in all directions to Dover, New York, and Hoboken. Definitely buy this one if US commuter operations interest you.

Oh, that's very good to know, the more operational variety the better, thank you very much for that info. you've just influenced a sale, DTG should give you some commission...... *!greengrin!*

I just got the route and drove from Denville to Morristown. Love the winding, elevated, DL&W track. The trackside scenery is excellent. I have to say the scenery is not quite what I am used to so, its best that I just stay in the cab. Like a knuckle head I got out and looked for my friends apartment in Morristown, which is right next to the line. Lastly, I gotta say, the track and catenary laying is just out of this world! Its a great pack to buy the Comet III EMU is wonderful and the car interiors are fantastic!

I'm a big fan of the Erie Lackawanna Railroad and this route sounds very interesting.

What freight operations are available on this route? Either as a point-to-point (yard to yard) or industrial switching?

All Stops Westbound Pt1 Scenario.

Anyone having issues with this scenario ? I cannot get past NJT Meadows Complex Staff Stop 2 with it crashing to desktop or freezing. This is just a couple of miles from the start.

Hoping this also means there are fixed quick drive to Bay Head as it's impossible to do that from NY Penn even in an ALP-45DP.

As no one here has answered about my problem with the All Stops Westbound Scenario PT1 and the CTD issues I have posted on Steam about it. It seems this scenario is a hog on resources even a person with an Intel i7 and a Titan XP graphics card is struggling with it. The only way that we can run this scenario is by turning the Master Detail down to minimum, even TSW runs better on my computer than this.

Quote from a Steam post. "This is why this should have been a separate route, rather then merging it with the NJCL. Merging it increases it's VAS footprint, which is already tight with the NJCL alone, which forces me to run it with the scenery quality to the left. (Not really a problem as you don't really lose too much quality. The most noticeable affect is a little blurry brake gauges, but I could live with that. With that on the NJCL, I could run the full length of the route from Bay Head to Penn or Hoboken. With the Morristown route, while I can run the full length from Dover to Penn or Hoboken, but on the NJCL portion I run out of address space around the same area as you to Hoboken, and Secaucus to Penn. So I'll use the original route when I run the NJCL. Thankfully they didn't just replace it with this one."

I maintain my above praise for this DLC, but am having a similar issue with Quick Drives on the Morristown line. Every time try to go east of Newark Broad Street, within half a mile, the game always crashes to desktop with a temp dump error. On my run last night the crash happened while I was stopped at Broad Street. This happens when I'm attempting to operate into either Hoboken or New York.

It is a little frustrating... I'd like to have a sense of closure from having operating the entire line. The route loads perfectly fine though if you start from Hoboken or NYC heading towards Dover, and I was one of the people having unplayable Quick Drive problems with the original NJCL. Haven't tried the NJCL yet as included in this DLC.

I have the same issues with the scenarios. What I did was write new ones. I put in a lot less trains that are just sitting (careful spacing can make a yard look full with a handful of cars and locos), time the AI so only one AI train is active at a time. And not having them active when motoring through heavy scenery areas.

It does wonders for this route, and others like it (Jersey Shore, Bergen County).
