I'm pretty disappointed with this "remastered" release, so far as I can tell, the scenery has hardly been touched. The route itself still looks and feels the same as it does the day it first came out. All this waiting just for an Acela passenger view? *!rolleyes!*

But how would you know, without comparing both the old an the new versions side by side? Which obviously you can't do unless you have a backup of the original version
I can tell you hundreds of instances of floating scenery and intersecting terrain were fixed. End caps have been added to loft assets.
Miles of trackside fences have been added. Many areas have been worked on to give greater accuracy.
All this in addition to the things in the changelist
So in a nutshell, while the improvement might be subtle, it is extensive. And free, if you already own the route.

This^
This reminds me of the bone heads saying I hardly touched Donner Pass when I redid it. *!rolleyes!*

I couldn't stand the NEC it was so bad before. Now I actually think about firing it up and driving it.

My only complaint now is. I wish they had put 3D trees close to the track. Other than that it's looking pretty decent, especially for an older route.
In addition to what Kevin said, they reworked a lot of the embankments along waterways too, adding some sand colors etc.
They not only added fences, but existing ones were reworked to follow the terrain instead of floating across low spots.
I do believe the signaling was fixed and or upgraded too. I could have sworn the NEC used to have those rotten little Color Position lights from HSC that didn't tell a person much of anything.
I don't say this too often DTG, but thank you. !*salute*!
New build. i7-7700k, MSI Z270 Gaming M5 Mobo, Hyper 212 Evo, Corsair DDR4 3200 Mhz RAM, Klipsch Pro Mediea 2.1 Speakers, Samsung 850 Evo SSD, HAF XM Case, Asus Strix GTX 1070 and Cooler Master Storm XT Keyboard.
Slick with Pretty Rainbow Colors.

That was like when Sherman Hill was updated and some said they couldn't see the changes. Amazing what some people don't see and yet complain.

Has anyone gotten the cruise control on the AEM-7 to work?

As far as I've gathered, the cruise control and dynamic brake functions seem to have somehow been written out of the LUA sim file update. If you want to restore those functions, you can download my updated mod for the AEM-7, which gives you back the original LUA file that would restore functionality to both those features.
