I just bought it and every time I load the GP40 my unit has no locomotive number anywhere on it. Tried verifying game cache with no luck. Tried all 3 new scenarios.

Try taking look at the numbers.dcsv file inside the DLC's .ap file. That file contains all the road numbers.

On that note, looks like a comprehensive mod pack is underway that will include JohnS's brake fix, and hopefully new horn and bell sounds, and also numbers for the GP40PH-2(A) series (41XX) added in addition to the GP40PH-2B (42XX) numbers.

the -2A's were not allowed to operate on the NEC they were/are too heavy and beat up the track says Amtrak. They weighed extra when CNJ ordered them for dual service if I remember.

Liking them so far but I do not like how the bell is on a timer after blowing the horn. Is there a way to change that?

^not a big fan of that either, but I think it's a scripting function, so it's not something that would be easily altered.
