This link http://www.thedieselshop.us/Data%20EMD%20SD45.HTML probably lists EMD's catalog weight at 368000 lbs.
while this link http://www.vmt.org/Loops-Collections/Diesel-Locomotive-Loop/Diesel-Locomotive-EMD-SD-45-1776.html lists 1776's weight as 210 tons.
Now, US units of measurments always give me a headache

If the engine blueprint has the weight in imperial tons (according to http://www.railsimdownloads.com/wiki/ti ... e%20Manual),
and an imperial ton is 2240 lbs, this means Railworks has the SD45' mass at 166.92 imperial tons or 373900 lbs, or rather short of NW 1776' 210 tons, equivalent to 470400 lbs.
On this interesting thread http://six.pairlist.net/pipermail/nw-mailing-list/Week-of-Mon-20040531/000415.html, the SD45's weigh in at 410000 to 420000 lbs in working order, or 187.5 tons, an authorative figure IMO. But still very short of NW 1776's, but perhaps that figure is of a heavily ballasted "slug mother unit" used in hump service and such that hardly ventured out on the road in medium to high speed service.
6 N&W SD45's were used to pull a 500 car train in 1967, a US record that still stands today? http://six.pairlist.net/pipermail/nw-mailing-list/Week-of-Mon-20040503/000134.html
Anybody know where to find official N&W engine diagrams on the net to get company information on the unit's weight?
Here is an expensive 3D model of the N&W SD45. Beautiful, but lifeless. http://www.turbosquid.com/3d-models/emd-sd45-nw-locomotive-3d-max/682247
Can such a model be animated and exported into Railworks?
