Help needed! Trying to move a reskinned Loco between my two machines

Unread postby CeaserLeo » Wed Jul 09, 2014 4:12 am

Hello, so im fairly new to this whole rail sim thing how ever im a half decent graphics artist so that been said i have a question as to reskins. i have recently just reskinned an sd40-2 to familiarize my self with the proceedure and while the reskin is far from perfect i would like to move it from one computer to another. to give you an idea of where im going with this ill explain the situation a lil bit more. i use one computer to do all the neccesary reskinning and when i test it out the reskin appears in my assets when i start up the game. now i am looking to move said reskin to a second computer, my gaming pc. i have enabled steam cloud thingy on both computers but when i log on to the gaming computer the reskin does not appear in my assets.is there a way of publishing it because im clearly missing something here. Any help/advice would be most greatly appreciated. thx. ps. dont mind the typos.

If you don't have these computers networked just go into your SD40-2 folder (don't know where that is at since you didn't say which model you used) and find it there. Take the whole thing (your re-paint) and copy it to a thumb drive and then just paste it into the same folder on your other computer. If you have TS running you will need to restart the game and it will find your new re-paint.

FYI, Steam does not see add-ons that were not purchased through Steam.
Anything else, like your repaints, you have to manage yourself.
