I am getting a CTD when the game tries to load a scenario. I verified the cache and updated to the latest version of Flash Player and it still CTDs. I sent a support request in to RSC, but do not know if they will answer. This is not good and I wish I could roll back to the older version of the game that worked.

Delete your current 2014 version, disconnect steam, load up your 2013 backup and you're all set. I believe as long as you don't fire up steam after you have restored your backup, it should work.

How would I do that without a backup?

Does anyone know where I can get the PONtrack.bin file so I can put it in the folder? Apparently, even after finally getting a verified cache with no missing or corrupt files, I am still missing the folder as well as that file.

Are you trying to run 13 or 14? If you are trying to run 14 you want it gone.

I am trying to run 14 on my desktop that has something other than what my laptop has. I have a feeling it is part of some freeware that I have installed as the folder that file comes from isn't on my laptop. This is the path to it: RailNetwork\TrackRules\PONtrack.bin. I did find the file in a Kuju folder at: D:\Program Files (x86)\Steam\steamapps\common\railworks\Assets\Kuju\RailSimulator\RailNetwork\TrackRules and not sure if that is supposed to be there or not.

*edit* After checking out the install on my laptop and digging through a couple of other folders on both it and the desktop, I found that the file is in a Kuju folder straight from RSC. It wasn't on the laptop so I removed it from the desktop and put it elsewhere and the scenario loaded as it should and did on my laptop after testing it last night.

Hopefully this helps others down the line.

I removed it from everywhere because it was hanging on all my third party stuff. Got rid of it and Shazam! everything worked.

Posting this here in case anyone has any ideas


Today hangs with black screen - tab out to get following error message:

followed by a Runtime error

It was fine last night.

Uninstalled Flash and re installed the one from the Install folder, also tried latest version , also tried installing Flash ActiveX from above link.

Still no joy

Can anyone at all help?
