Question about Routers

I have a Linksys router hooked up to a 16 port switch. I have multiple pc's, printers and 2 Xbox's all connected.
My issue is with the Xbox's, I keep getting "Strict NAT" and have already contacted Xbox. They suggested I purchase a DLink DIR 655 to fix my problem.
Now for the question, I know it's not gonna be plug and play so if I run into trouble setting it up, can I just plug my old router again without having to change any settings? My wife will kill me if I mess up her network.

This could get difficult. XP needs a specific IP address and difficult setup. Win 7 is seamless. No issues at all. I don't know about how an X Box connects, tho. But, since your current switch and router are already set up, yes, you can just plug them back and they will work.

Awesome Chris, I am running Windows 7. My main concern was using the old router again if things went south.
The good folks at Xbox said that they could remote into my system and help me configure my settings too if I can't do it myself.
