I wouldn't count on that. Upgrade because it's time, not for RW. You may be surprised that it won't make that much difference. Almost $2k with taxes is a lot. I think they are charging a little too much. Check with Mdurdan, he just got a custom built PC for a lot less, and with similar specs. I always build my own. it's a lot of fun and work but it's gratifying. !!*ok*!!

you must also place into fact that i live in the middle of....well too far from civilization to have much of a choice....i won't order something so expensive from online.

Check for external eSata ports. I'd want at least 2, preferably 4.
This way you can have an external disk toaster, ideal for backups.

well i ended up getting a new pc today, although it wasnt originaly what i said i was getting. i ended up picking up a labtop....but it is a very good labtop imo and should be worlds better than my desktop pc.

this labtop has the following stuff:

8gb ram
ADM A10-4600M APU
Radeon HD 2300mhz quad core
1tb hard drive
8192mb ddr3 sdram
and some sorta good radeon graphics card that i cant remember which one it is lol (2gb extra ram)

tell me what you all think of this?
