I need to get a racing wheel (or connect up my Xbox 360 controller). Is that middle screenshot Need for Speed?

I've hooked my Xbox 360 racing wheel to the PC (via the Xbox wireless USB dongle) and I hated it. Just doesn't have the same feel as driving or precision. I still use my regular 360 controller.

Bill, you mean you don't have a MOMO wheel and pedals? I love mine! And a Saitek joystick. Controller, no way. I will not be assimilated.

I was kind of going for an "all alone in deep space" look with most of them. The third one I like mostly because watching that ship fire all its ion cannons at once is just cool.

BFBC 2 @ 5760x1080 w/ everything maxed 40-50fps? YES PLZ! Holy cow the 6990 rules.

One of the best looking games I've ever seen. These are actual gameplay, not a cut scene.

Cool screenies! I don't play any other games so it's fun to see what the latest versions look like. Great landscapes in some of those. One performance thing crosses my mind though... in those games you have one or only a few moving objects, in many cases just a person walking. What if you were 100 people walking like in a 100 car train? Or 100 jet fighters all moving at once with 400 rotating wheels and 100 times the object dynamics to calculate and animate? We used to be able to bog down SimCity to 1 fps, too, and that was a 2D game. If you turned all the animation settings on HIGH, the pc would be so busy with the screen redraws that the CPU couldn't keep up with all the sim operation calculations. In comparison to that (I know it's not apples to apples), today's games seem incredible!

BF3 Beta.

How is the beta? Haven't got it yet. I did see ATI released beta drivers for that game though.
