No fun with API Key

Unread postby RAILSOHIO » Thu Sep 02, 2021 4:04 pm

I have been using the same key for years, with no problem. When 2021 was released,I purchased it outright, and installed it on an SSD. (My 2020 resides on a hard disk) I never added an API key to the new installation, but am now attempting to do so. You may know windows will not let you copy and paste the key from 2020 to 2021. So I followed all of the tutorials available, and the steps in the Google Console are not the same. In the process,I have created 2 new API keys that I can not enable. I can not see a way to delete them and start over. It also takes me to an authorization screen NOT in any of the tutorials. I did a search in the Steam folder to see if i could locate the key,but it is a locked file. It does not ask me to create an account,so it must recognize that I exist. I hope this is enough to help. PS I did carefully write it down, but have no luck as there are to many O's and zeros to differentiate between. Joe
