I purchased a pair of Corsair gaming headphones for my PC and TS2019. Whenever I plug the headphones in, the sound stops and does not play through the headphones. When I try to listen to my music files, I get an error message stating that the codec for this file is missing. I've tried plugging directly into the headphone jack and using the supplied adaptor. The adaptor is a splitter with separate plugs for the headphone and mic jacks.

The headphones work great with my iPad and iPhone. As far as I can tell, there are no drivers or software to download. Online videos reviewing this item don't mention and installation issues.

Any suggestions?

I've been having trouble with windows properly switching to my headphones lately also.

Right click on the sound icon in the task bar and open sound settings. Look at Choose your output device and make sure your headphones are selected.

I was finally able to resolve the issue but for the life of me I can't explain how. After several different efforts, they are playing.
