Limit FPS in Railworks?

Unread postby BoostedFridge » Wed Dec 27, 2017 4:49 pm

Is there a way to put a limit on Max FPS in Railworks/TS2018? This is with an NVIDIA card. I looked through the NVIDIA control panel and nothing jumped out at me. Any help would be appreciated.

Create a shortcut to Railworks.exe on the the desktop then right click and hit properties. Add -FPSLimit=60 to the end of the command line so it looks like:
Railworks.exe -FPSLimit=60 there is a space between exe and the -FPSLimit

I used MSI Afterburner before I got this card. Now I just let it go.

The -FPSLimit=60 goes after the quotation mark in the Target: dialog, make sure you have the space after the quotes, and the number at the end of the -FPSLimit= is the number of frames per second you want to limit to. I limit mine to 30FPS which works fine. You can use the Steam overlay to check the FPS if you wish, but it has to be turned on in the Steam/In-Game/In-game FPS counter settings to work.

I use ctrl plus the Z key to view the FPS in game. Hold down the ctrl key then tap the Z key and it should appear in the upper right corner of the screen in White.
