OCX Files are not working

Unread postby cnbalasub » Thu Oct 19, 2017 11:24 am

Last evening I have to reset my desktop because of one corrupted file. No problem to reset the desktop and have all my applications like RW_Tools and Steam for Train Simulator 2017. After the fix of my desktop and I checked to see if my program of Train Simulator 2017 can run and good news -- yes. Then checked the program of RW_Tools to see if can open this -- no good because of missing ComDlg32.OCX file. Here is what I wrote down and you can see below:

RW_Tools 2017

Run-time error 339

Component 'ComDlg32.OCS' or one of its dependencies not correctly registered: a file is missing or invalid.

Yes I did check in my folder of Windows > System32 > ComDlg32.ocx and is there in my folder.

So what should I do with this?? Reinstall the program of RW_Tools or what? Will wait to hear from anyone here who will be able to reply about this.

Outdated or missing comdlg32.ocx runtime library is causing this error. Here is a copy of comdlg32.ocx (~60 Kb Zip). Download the file to the Desktop and extract the comdlg32.ocx to your the Windows\System32 folder.

Note: If you already have a copy of comdlg32.ocx, backup the existing file to a different folder and delete it from System32 folder.

1. Download comdlg32.zip and save to Desktop.

2. Unzip the file using WinZip or any other utility.

3. Extract comdlg32.ocx to Windows\System32 folder.

4. Type the following command from Start, Run dialog:

regsvr32 %Systemroot%\System32\comdlg32.ocx
