In what way, precisely, does it seem like your system is "bottlenecking"? What is your current CPU?

just might as well upgrade being that I have a card that's rated better then the parts I want to swap

cpu amd fx-6300
mobo msi 760gm-p34
8gb hyperx ddr3 1600
gpu evga gtx 1060 6gb
700 w psu

ive tried all settings in NVidia control panal, looked into my bios, windows is running high proformance and I still get subpar 30-40 fps in places(95%), im looking to get

cpu i5 6600k unlocked
mobo msi gaming pro carbon
8 gb ddr4

along with my 1060 and 700w psu

I'm not a big amd fan, so going i5 or i7 is a good idea, I think.

What game are you talking about getting 30-40 FPS? TS2017? TS is a notorious CPU hog. The 1060 is okay, if you upgraded from the 600 or 700 series, but 30-40 ain't bad, for TS2017. And as for the CPU, it's the clock speed that matters most. The higher the better. I run my i5 2500k at 4.2 and get very satisfactory results in all games, even FSX, the worst CPU hog.

I am running MY I7 6700K @ 4.4-4.6 Mghz with the new 1060 with most settings to max and am happy in the most demanding routes as Soldier Summit and NERW Lafayette. FRs 30-40 dense and 100+ in the open.

I just don't see how im 90% of the time 30-40 fps lots of times 20s in demanding routes, by the way my fx is at 4.1, I don't have cooling to boost it more

Check your CPU temps. If it starts to get hot it will throttle down. My system is liquid cooled and it still gets to 55C. 70C is the safe top end. BTW you might try reapplying the thermal paste on your cooler it does loose some of it's effectiveness after a while. I did this not to long ago and dropped another 8C.

my cpu temp when ts17 is 68, my gpu temp is great at 51, my cpu load always fluctuates,on one core never goes over 70% while the other 5 hit 30s, I only ever have one of them hit 70%, my gpu load stays at around 30%
