Derail Valley, VR Railworks of sorts

Unread postby _o_OOOO_oo-Kanawha » Tue Jan 31, 2017 10:18 am

For my new Vive VR headset I am looking for simulators.

There is this limited VR demo of a train simulator:

The demo game is available here: https://www.wearvr.com/apps/derail-valley/downloads/ZSVCJaapcZo-X-OZpQw6uQ

Both American and European Truck Simulator offer seated VR modes, as does DCS.
It would be nice to be able to walk around in the cab and reach for the controls, open the window and lean out, or in later versions actually walk on the ground connecting brake hoses, pulling pins etc.
I think that is why there was footwork included in the TSW demo.

TSW would be a natural for VR, but Dovetail did not announce or suggest in the beta that it would have VR support.

Here's hoping though....
