Drastically New Memory Type on the Way.

This was fascinating reading. A totally new memory type is on the way and it's bad to the bone. This could be the real reason for the DDR4 standard.
It will revolutionize our electronic devices in all categories.

If it did come out as DIMMs then I might feel compelled to upgrade my motherboard.

Yes, assuming we can afford it... *!greengrin!*

It looks very promissing. Lifetime in the thousands of years and virtually no voltage required to keep stuff in memory.

I wonder if this carbon nano-tube tech can be adapted to CPUs?
A carbon based CPU that could easily run 10ghz and only be 20C? !*roll-laugh*!

Eric

That is a distinct possibility or is it probability? I would be using "BuckyBalls" too, aka Buckminsterfullerene.
It won't be too long before we see the first quantum computer, then everything else will become obsolete including possibly, us. !*roll-laugh*! .
Nice article.
