Looking for a New PC...

Unread postby ES44AH » Tue Mar 08, 2016 10:30 am

I have a budget of about $550, and I am currently looking at buying a new rig. My goal is to run with Dynamic Lighting, AA on at roughly mid range, and all graphics on high with maybe 30-45 fps. Anything out there? Thanks! *!!thnx!!*
Thanks

That's a pretty tight budget.

You'll need 8 GB or RAM and 2 GB of VRAM for Railwork's bigger routes.

Ready built or DIY? When DIY, check which components of your present PC can be re-used: Power Supply Unit, Case, Drives? When your PC's motherboard is still OK, and its Central Processing Unit will still do, you might invest in a better Video Card, one nVidia 970 models.

Check out these configurators: http://www.newegg.com/Gaming-Desktops/PromotionStore/ID-2125620 and see how much bang you can get for your bucks.

This here is a link to a thread a started stating my current system:

Personally, I'd rather buy a new tower right out of the box then make a whole new build.
Thanks

As far a video card if you can still find a GTX650 ti Boost it will be more budget priced and will do a fine job for TS2016. Find a 2 GHz one if possible.

That video is from TS2014 - two generations ago. Unless I'm mistaken, TS2016 offers better graphics that, naturally, tax computer equipment more heavily. Try watching some of the numerous TS2015 YouTube videos?

Good luck on getting that done on your budget unless you find a used computer someone wants get rid of or a re-conditioned one.

Actually I never upgraded mine; I still have TS2014 technically.

How do you think the CYBERPOWERPC Gamer Xtreme Desktop GXi1400W would handle the sim? It's on Walmart for $509.
Thanks

I realize you are on a budget but I can't even find detailed specs on this comp. Suffice it to say that it has onboard graphics which you DON'T want. Save up another $500 and you'll have something to work with if you don't want to build yourself.

Building yourself is basically just plug and play now if you get matching parts. Better quality and you save $$$.

It took me months to save up for my EVGA 980 SC. It cost more than that whole comp, I know it sucks. You really do get what you pay for.
