I run a Windows 7 64 Bit Home Premium Computer with SP1, an AMD E2-3200 APU Processor, 4.00 GB of Ram (3.49 usable), 2.40 Ghz, and a Radeon HD6370D graphics card with AMD Vision Control Center, and I want to make my simulator look like this:

Typically, and this varies from route to route, I get a laggy 15 fps with Dynamic Lighting checked in settings, so I have to run without Dynamic Lighting, WHICH I CAN'T STAND!!! (with the exception of the RWA route, the fps are great on that). I also want to get a new graphics card because I feel the current one I have is very basic and not powerful enough for TS2015. Should I spend the money o a new graphics card, and do you think my current card is okay, it just needs updated? In the video above, anybody know, or the guy himself, I know he's on here, how the lighting looks like that?

I looked up the specifications for your CPU and AMD graphics. Very low for both.
Even a low end GTX750 from Nvidia rates about 800% higher performance.
The CPU only rated about 1500.
Even a ancient Intel Core 2 Duo rates at twice the power.

Michael, Travis is a good friend of mine and I was the one who actually set him up with a pretty solid system, changing the power supply and CPU Cooler. Railworks can look that good with the right hardware, all of what you see is via settings in railworks, nothing modded or tweaked.

The best bang for your buck would to swap the graphics card to an Nvidia, a 780 series card would be preferable but you need to see what power supply wattage you have. Short of that, yes what the above poster said, your system is on the low side for power.

So, check case clearance for said card or similar, and check PSU wattage.

It wouldn't do him any good to just get a GTX780 his CPU couldn't feed it.
I have a i53570k and had to overclock it to do a decent job of feeding my GTX780.

Right, and I doubt his PSU could even handle it. Looks like he is at an impasse, a card would be the only that could help him slightly in short of replacing the entire system. But yes the best solution would be to do that, sorry I am sure thats not the answer you were hoping for but Eric is right.

Look up GTX550i or 650i. They are fine video cards and your system will handle them.

The current one Buzz is the GTX750 or GTX750ti.
That's why I was using that as an example in my first post.
Part of the problem is the CPU. The low end CPUs have trouble with areas where there are large numbers of draws.

That being said a GTX750 will help a lot.

Edit: Nvidia is up to the GTX950 as the entry level gaming card.

IMO the other part of the problem is 4GB RAM. With that amount onboard when running TS the OS will be constantly using the paging file slowing things down somewhat.
Windows 7 64-bit using around on average 2.4GB RAM, and one some routes/scenarios TS can exceed 2GB RAM and when that happens the PF has to be used.
I would upgrade the RAM to 8GB first before the video card.

His GPU is so low powered it's hardly above onboard graphics on a CPU. It amazed me that a manufacturer of GPUs would even bother with a card in that niche. It makes me wonder if it's a OEM card of some kind, meant to be used when a CPU has no onboard graphics capability.

Radeon HD 6370D Review

Radeon HD 6370D is an integrated GPU in one of AMD's processors. It's part of the middle class GPUS. It supports DirectX 11 and uses system memory and it only supports DDR3-1600 memory type.
At this moment, we do not know much about Radeon HD 6370D. However, considering the fact it uses shared memory and the limited memory size, the performance should be pretty close to the Intel HD 3000 (desktop) and therefore only capable of playing demanding games on the lowest settings, while very demanding games might not run at all.
All in all, even though it supports DirectX 11, most likely games that use it are unplayable to the lowest settings or only playable on the lowest settings because every game out there using DirectX 11 is either demanding or very demanding.

Quick question, how would my system operate with the BNSF Racetrack route? I've heard it has good frame rates, would they be as good as the RWA route?
