I'm not really sure were to ask this question, so hopefully someone on railworks can help on Geek Speak.

I'm looking to buy a new motherboard and it has Usb 3.0 ports only. My current motherboard has Usb 2.0 ports.

Would my 2.0 keyboard and mouse work with a 3.0 ports?

Yes, they will work just fine. The 3 is just faster.

Buzz is correct.
I just want to add for any PC novices that read this thread.
USB 2.0 devices will run on USB 3.0 ports, they are "backwards compatible" however the USB 2.0 device will still run at 2.0 speeds.
Where USB 3.0 really shines, is when you have an external backup drive connected. Writes and Reads to a USB3.0 external drive, on a 3.0 USB port, will be much faster than an older USB 2.0 external drive.

USB 3.0 is also good with a USB Display Adapter for a third or fourth, or fifth monitor. !!*ok*!!
