Windows 7 and unresponsive program timeout

Unread postby SAR704 » Sat Jul 19, 2014 3:10 am

Just wondering, is there a way to edit the registry settings to make the time longer before Windows 7 closes what it thinks is an unresponsive program? I've heard that the default value is set to 5 seconds, but is there a way to change this?

If I can get this changed, it might mean that I can get 3d Crafter working again.

This didn't work for me. 3DC is still failing to load. Any other suggestions?

Does logmate work on programs other than RW? Perhaps that will tell you where the program load is hanging. Just a thought.

Not sure if these registry settings may help: http://www.corenetworkz.com/2011/01/end ... grams.html
"WaitToKillAppTimeout"="2000"
“AutoEndTasks"="1"
"HungAppTimeout"="1000"
"LowLevelHooksTimeout"="1000
