Yeah it's nice. You can copy or move large files much faster.
Security scans go much faster too.
I don't have my OS on a SDD, but I put Railworks on a new 120GB SSD drive and use the old 56GB SSD on my system to save backups and as a very fast Paging file.
Letting Windows use the old 56GB as a cache also really speeds up the whole system.
On a laptop you should get much longer battery life as well.

Do you have a frame rates before and after by chance?
Very curious as to how much this effects everything. I might invest as well !!*ok*!!

I don't have an SSD on this laptop, but I'd imagine it will do little for frame rates. It might reduce the impact on frame rate drops due to periodic tile loading, but I can't see it speeding them up. Things like higher clock speeds of the CPU,GPU and memory bus will likely improve frame rates. Those are the chief things involved in rendering. Remember.... Railworks is a DX9 level graphics sim. The latest cards improve DX11+ level graphics significantly by design, not the much older (12 years) DX9.
