TS runs fine though the FN key gets the darn way I have to press it and say F12 to take screenshots and change between F3,F4, and F5 for driving. Works great I might turn the shadows back to medium on certain routes.

Nathan was having a hard time with the function keys on his new laptop not doing what they are supposed to in TS2014. I told him just plug in a regular PC/ USB keyboard and it worked fine. He unplugs the USB for when he wants to travel. !!*ok*!!

I think I finally found the cause of the memory low warning. It turns out it was the intel drivers, I just rolled them back to a previous version and now I don't have any problems (yet). Though those drivers would make GTA IV crash after about an hour.

Since it was brought up.
I was having "issues" with the new Nvidia drivers too. But I admit it wasn't anything I could put my finger on. It just didn't seem right... I know, real scientific Eric... *!rolleyes!*

I went back to the 310.700 drivers.

Intel drivers? What Intel drivers? I thought the video was Nvidia?

Another thought, what program(s), if any, are you running before you start TS2014? Or do you go right into the game after starting Windows?

I think he might be having problems with his chip set drivers. INS

Well I did update them. So I'll see how it goes.

Well guys after having it for 6-7 months the screen goes kablam. Hooked it up to an external works just fine.

There are two types of back lighting in flat screens: LED and fluorescent back lit. LED's are solid state, a little more expensive, run cool, and last a long time. Fluorescent needs a small ballast circuit for the high voltage to "fire" the lamp, run warm-to-hot, and don't last a long time. (but should definitely last longer than 6 or 7 months) Could be ballast, lamp, or (sometimes) a small "pico" fuse. What's the warranty, have you chatted with tech support yet?

May just be better off with the external. But that ends the portability aspect, too. *sigh*
