With this setting, Maria Pass runs at about 105 FPS but FRCE is down to about 40 FPS. I don't worry about the Nvidia Control Panel I just have it set at default.

40 FPS is a good frame rate. But all will depend on the resolution you use

Ignore it, that's what the dentist told me hahahaha. It happens in many spots, doors in buildings, ballast, tracks, My way to ignore it is to not play FRCE. Think I played it for 20 m inutes since I bought it.

Does not happen when using the Global Camera. I am wondering what is is. VideoCard RAM ? VideoCard GPU ? Settings ?

wacampbell wrote:The flickering in Cardinal51's video is caused by too much camera zoom. Back off the zoom with the mouse scroll wheel and move the camera closer to the object and the flicker will be reduced. Think of it like using a real camera, when you are at maximum zoom camera shake becomes an issue.

It also happen to things in the distance. But I will sure try your advice and report back in this thread.

Just shot another movie. I will zoom out to the max (after 15 seconds or so) and you can still see the tracks flickering big time, and a door in the distance. But when I click on the Global Camera it stops.

1920x1080 at 180Hz refresh rate using Auto HDR a Windows 11 setting. Read about it here. https://www.techradar.com/how-to/how-to ... windows-11 You will need an HDR-capable monitor though. Using a Viewsonic 27/28 Gaming Monitor. Running at 180Hz is a lot easier on my eyes with hardly any eye strain

I use 1920x1080 @144Hz in my PC with my GTX1600 6GB. But I prefer using 1768x992 with TSC. I need sometimes moving around the TSC screen.
And I live happy with those 40 or 60 fps.
I guess in Marias Pass, in the wild, I would get a higher fps, but all depends on the spot. In Shelby full of cars that framerate would go down irremediably.

It happens occasionally to me as well. More so on some routes than on others. I think it is what it is, something in the core code.

Problem is not that I want a nice video. Issue is that while playing the game on this route it looks like in the video. So the video is just to visually illustrate my question.

I don't think that you will accomplish this. I have had this issue for years on different routes and scenarios. It may be due to the core coding and may not be able to be corrected. You must keep adjusting your graphics settings to minimize the issue. Trial and error.

Good to read it is probably not hardware related.

Which setting fixed it in your case.

Good read, he seems quite knowledgeable on the subject. As I understand it, it starts with how the route/scenario is built and assets used. Using AA settings helps to minimize the shimmering effects. Because it varies by route/scenario there is no universal setting and you need to find the "sweet spot" by trial and error, however changing AA settings causes its own issues.
I did a test this morning. I had been running at FXAA+2x2 SSAA at Anistrox8 on a scenario on FRCE. GPU was running at 60% and about 60°C, I bumped it up to FXAA+3X3SSAA at Anistrox8 and for the same scenario GPU usage went to 100% and temperature went to 75°C, the card was working much harder. Be careful in changes that can affect hardware temperature. Any gains that you try to get can be negated by throttling. This is your hardware trying to protect itself.
