Yes and no. It was deeper than that. Since around the year 2000, it’s been a record of every other release being bad or disappointing….
Windows ME— dud
Windows XP… good
Windows Vista…. dud (although I personally didn’t have a lot of issues with it)
Windows 7… good
Windows 8… dud (most notably the initial v8.0 tile based interface with tablets in mind)
Windows 10—- good
So Windows 11 is due for dud status. I already don’t like the new desktop interface and some of the changes in general. I’ll know for sure whenever my new laptop ships in the coming weeks. The new interface seems like it was made simply for the sake of change and a new look rather than an improvement in function. We shall see. Those that instal it, please let us know the good and bad of it for you.
