I purchased and installed the ASUS STRIX-GTX1060 -06G card this has a higher base clock than most of the others.and is overclockable. Using the same test bed, FRs are 40-60% higher and with little or no stutter no with Game settings to maximum. I have read a few posts on letting this GPU handle the AA settings and the use of V-sync. More testing this week. The real test will be when TSW is released this Thursday.

My last build was a AMD 6 core FX with a Radeon R9 380. It played a lot of gamews games perfectly. Fallout 4 always had a bad framerate problem when in the city. My new build, i7 6700 and the Radeon gave me no frame rate problems playing on ultra settings. Now with my new amazing 1070 I am astounded by what I can now really see in game.

Me too. Why go with a crappy "60" business card again? You're better off saving for a gaming card "80" even if it is a 9 series. The 980 blows a 1060 away.

Check out gpuboss.com . You can compare any video cards.

From the other post.

Can't stress this enough along with the balance between cpu.

Cards with a 60 suffix are not generally business cards. If the card is a member of the GTX lineup, it is a gaming card no matter what performance it gives. Basically the suffixes don't really matter. They're just a way to distinguish each card, although as the suffix increases by 10, you will see better performance. The 1060 6 GB is without question a good card.

I'm still running an Asus Strix OC 960 2gb card on my old system and it runs modern games like Tom Clancy's The Division very well.

Exactly. Even with a rather small frame buffer your card performs well. It's the cuda cores, architecture, clock speed, and product line that count.
PC Specs: AMD Ryzen 7 2700X @4.225 GHz, AsRock X470 Taichi Ultimate, 16 GB Corsair Vengeance DDR4 @3200 MHz, and an EVGA GTX 1080 FTW Edition
