And I figure if the cpu makers wanted the product overclocked they would make them that way.

But they do in the Intel range they have the suffix K, coupled with fast RAM and OC capable mobo they run TS2014 beautifully.
And I really am on the fence about the water coolers?

I agree with Buzz - no contest. Water cooling is much better. No dust, Air is an insulator not a cooler as such, WC are lighter less lateral stress on the mobo, and WC are much more efficient than air and are pretty much maintenance free. However, if you are not overclocking then air is OK.

Well it looks like water cool and I may as well overclock.
I will check on the different choices of cooling
and I think they also have a choice of overclocking also.
