How many slots in your computer/laptop are there, you need to check first, if there are only 2 slots then you can only have 2 x 8GB RAM sticks, or, 1 x 4GB and 1 x 8GB, if you have 4 slots then it might be better to have 12 GB which is 3 x 4GB sticks, a total of 12 GB or 16 GB RAM is more than adequate to run PC games on these days, especially Railworks/Train Simulator. And the other thing is that it's always best to get the sticks from the same developer, and you'll always have to have the same DDR volume you can't mix DDR3 with DDR5, for example, there are quite a few different companies who make RAM sticks, have a good shop around to obtain the best prices, a few sticks could be 100/150 Dollars or so, and ensure that the sticks you install are from the same company, attempting to put different companies' RAM sticks into the same computer might do it some damage, there is plenty of customer advice on the internet, good luck.
