Adjusting RailDriver Sensitivity

Unread postby Shortliner » Wed Nov 30, 2016 9:24 pm

So I love having RailDriver because it makes the experience I have in a train simulator a lot more realistic and I love that. However, I have noticed that when it comes to the throttle and reverser levers, I have to pull them down (or up) quite a bit to get them to register on the simulator that I'm using (TS-2017). On the throttle, sometimes I pull it down until the sim register it at 22% and then I push it back up to get 13% that I wanted.

Is there a way to fix this? Also, is there a way to program the buttons on the bottom for a specific task? I'd like to assign two buttons to water and coal control when I drive a steam locomotive.

Thank you all for your help!

I have a Raildriver and I have noticed that some locomotives do not work well with Raildriver, this has to do with the scripting. I would need to know what locomotives you are using. To answer your second question the buttons are programmable. This information should be in your instruction manual. Additional information can be obtained on the Raildriver website as well. Try re-calibrating the unit first. Some steam locomotives take a while to start moving. Test with the Raildriver and the keyboard controls to see if there is a difference in performance.

I got the problem fixed, turns out PI Engineering had the script that I needed on their website. So now everything is working perfectly.

I have installed the Raildriver interface software from Chris (Cobra One) at UK Trainsim and it works great. Easy to set up and has lots of remapping options. Best to uninstall Macorworks as they do not play well together.
