It's taken me a couple of days to get used to it, but I'm happy with it now, and it seems to be slicker and a bit better at handling memory. The only thing I'm having trouble with it the Back button - I keep moving my mouse pointer to top left, and it isn't there!

Which version are you running? The latest is 29.0. It sounds like you haven't set it up to automatically install updates or been checking for updates on Tools About.

My railway photos are back - you can access them from this thread viewtopic.php?f=24&t=21667a . Lots of UK steam and early diesels from the late 1950s and early 1960s.

I'm running 29.0 and the only difference I notice is that the tabs have rounded corners, just like the manila kind...
The back button is where it was in 28.X, top left on the address bar left of the URL...

I just upgraded to 29.0 and I think the differences are minor.
The main change is that they are gradually changingthe UI to look less "Windows" and more "mobile". For example, with the menu icon at extreme right.
The good news is the toolbar is very customizable.

Yeah... The differences are minor until you want to customize your toolbar, and where you are used to the buttons being at. They don't give you the dividers anymore, for instance.
The Mozilla forums are swarming with complaints, because long used themes don't work.

I clicked on "Help: About" and the update started downloading, then installed. I was at v.28, now v.29. I thought automatic updates was turned on, but oh well.

Not much difference. I like the new tabs. And I use the back button on my mouse (the back arrow is still upper left).

If you've not yet found it 'Classic Theme Restorer' is a very nice extension for v29.0

Quickly reversed the havoc that Australis wreaked upon my other add-ons and customizations. Powerful customization of toolbars and add-on bar.

.
+1 on the Classic Theme Restorer. It solves many placement and appearance problems -- especially when you want things back where you're accustomed to having them.

Thanks, but the Classic Theme Restorer, didn't quite give me what I was looking for.
I quess I'll wait around for a update from FF, or until a theme I like comes out.
