A little something I am working on. However I can't seem to work out how to get rid of the text like the baggage and old Amtrak logo and was wondering if anyone could help me out with this please.

If you can wait until I get home tonight I can help you with this. Midwest USA. Or just send me the texture and I'll change it. GMT -5.

Hello Buzz if you would like to PM a e-mail address to send the texture file to I'll send it over to you. And once you've removed the old logo and baggage text to save some time you can submit for upload to RWA or send it back to me to upload to RWA.

Looks a little long and isn't ribbed. I seem to be just now figuring out how weird that looks compared to what they really used in the 80s-90s. Can't that be fixed with some 3D whiz (Mikey durdan) and some texturing changes for the chrome? (Don know who can do that) is reflective chrome possible in RW yet?

It's the one that came with the Amtrak F40 and at the moment as you know it's all we have to work with. But I hope it'll do until someone clever comes along and adds the ribbing and chrome effect. :D

First the good news I've got the one I was after. Now the not so good news to get that one has meant deleting some phase 3 texture files so I can't use phase3 now not that I'm worried as I never used it anyway :)

So when this get's sent to Bob tomorrow there will be two versions one will have the new stripe but phase 3 Logo . Or there will be this one.

So what do you want reflective chrome to look like?

Maybe a little more like mirror. Somehow get it very sensitive to the sun that it reflects the sunlight.....I'd imagine it'll be hard, but it can probably be done

I can't find a picture of a baggage car like that at all in any Amtrak scheme..... It's rather long. The doors are rather wide.... Could an Amtrak buff please clear this up for me?

Btw, that repaint makes it look way better. I'm not an expert, but isn't the Amtrak logo go on the right side in the blue stripe and the numbers go about 4 ft under the stripe and in the middle of the right door and edge in a non ribbed placard? I remember when the southwest chief had air line troubles with a baggage car. 1202. The goofy looking BNSF carman replaced the air hose right in front of me.
