Ever heard of the "Bluefield Corridor"?

You have now! I have decided to start work on a freeware, FICTIONAL route for RW! It was born because, I want to run 70 mph freight trains, and 110 mph Amtrak trains, but I had no route that would let me do this. Introducing, the Bluefield Corridor! Partially inspired by Bob Artim's wonderful efforts on his fantastic NERW route! So far, (after 2 days work) it's all track. About 20 miles worth. I know you all are tired of hearing me sound off about my projects, but having no progress to show. No more! The screens you see, are of my crowning achievement thus far! The crossover! I will work on this in my spare time. I am working on other projects as well, and will not be abandoning them. Don't expect much as it is still in it's early infancy, but do enjoy watching it grow over time! *!greengrin!*

Ran into an issue this morning. Realized I used a bad trackrule, and when 2 trains passed eachother, they crashed and derailed. Have to replace the double tracked sections, which will likely take me a while.

Fixed the track and laid most of my mainline! Here's a couple of new shots of my second crossover! I really like this one! Here's a couple Amtrak's meeting.

Another minor-ish update! *!greengrin!* Seen here, an Amtrak overnight special, crosses the Chickadee Springs reservoir, in the rural area of the town of Chickadee Springs! !*salute*! Enjoy! More to come in the next few days! Also, a shot of the railyard at the southernmost point in my route. I have no idea what to call the town. Any ideas? Give me some GOOD suggestions, and I'll pick a winner, and also put you on the beta-tester list! BTW! On a hunch, I looked up Bluefield on google earth and as it zoomed in on Bluefield WV, (which I did NOT expect!) I see a quite large railyard! Just thought I'd share that amusing story!

Ivy City is an interesting name, I think. It's where Amtrak has it's Acela maintenance facility in Washinton DC.

OK. So far, I'm liking "Croton". On another note, can anybody offer some tips/tricks for laying roads? I'm finding this exceedingly difficult. Largely because you cannot select multiple lengths of road like you can with the track, making the offsetting of the traffic ribbon, rather difficult. Also, making intersections, and different road paint/stripes I'm finding very difficult. Anyone have a tutorial I could look at for guidance? Thanks!
