I have started repainting the NKP Berkshire 765 into PM 1225 for my first repaint. All is going smoothly, screens will be posted tomorrow before 6:00 Eastern time (pm not am) I have dropped the well car project (for now) I am still deciding whether it should be freeware or payware for the money to be donated to the restoration of Pere Marquette 1225 by The Steam Railroading Institute. The numbering and the fact that the tgpdcx files go 1,2,3,5 and NO 4 texture file. I cannot find the outside cab painting. The number boards I cannot find because there are no number texture files. I don't know where to go after I'm done with 1,2,3 and 5. Times new roman tends to be the best match for number font. So, lets hope it works!

Have a good look at the texture files for the loco - I'm pretty sure that texture files are included for 1225 (and 759) - in the same way that they are provided for 765 - and it's just a matter of some editing. The tender textures don't appear to have the Pere Marquette text hidden away anywhere though.

It's looking good, will it work with the old version that used to be at G-Trax?

Ugh I copied the 4th and 6th texture file into the texture folder, edited them, went through the RSBintool, did the process, and apparently, that didn't work, I also could use help with doing the numbering and lettering. Ik the default Berkshire is capable of repainting, but to my experience, you can only partially repaint The NKP765 Berkshire. If anyone has fully repainters that engine please lemme know how, because at the same time, I'm also getting rid of the weird purple color and darkening it quite a bit. No white stripe or white wheel scheme, for now if I can even TOUCH the wheels, I'm trying to get the black scheme.

Look in loco5. That white circle are the white tires. Change it to black and I think your tires will be black.

Where do you think the white stripe on the side can be edited? And If theres no way to edit the sand tower, then It can't be carried on

These engines share files in the global folder. Assets\G-TraX\Trains\RailVehicles\Global
If you alter one loco for certain files it effects them all.
Files your looking for.....Global/Texture folder....
gx_patches01.TgPcDx
gx_patches02.TgPcDx
gx_railcar_wheels01.TgPcDx
gx_railcar_wheels02.TgPcDx
gx_railcar_wheels03.TgPcDx
gx_railcar_wheels04.TgPcDx
gx_diamond_tread01.TgPcDx
gx_diamond_tread02.TgPcDx
I have all 3 GTrax steamers and some files are in there for them too.
Want to add. 765 and the default Berk share some files also.

So you suggest I copy/paste them to my texture folder, edit them, then do the process?

No no. You can't move them. I tried to repaint the 765 and found out that I had better luck just repainting the default loco. That's just me tho. You can see in some of Buzz's screenshots that he is running the NERW version of the Berk. I painted that one. I made the files greyscale to black got rid of the blue. In the same process, it altered the 765. If you paint one you paint them both. They share too many files.

No need to be sorry about anything. The Berk isn't the easiest loco to paint no matter who you are. Stick with it and you'll learn more than you can imagine.

So, if I duplicate the Default and paint it, How will the 765 asset be edited and how will the duplicate of the 765 asset appear?
