Are you ready?

Unread postby BNSFdude » Sat Dec 22, 2012 1:12 am

How long has the GTrax P42 been out? How long have you been wishing you had better sounds for it? Well, I'm pretty much done with these, I even included a nifty Occlusion Blueprint for the sounds too! All she needs is a good horn and bell, which I will be installing shortly, and it should be good to upload!

Finally! Great work! *!!thnx!!* If I may offer a tip, I think the chug of the engine sounds just a little too weak or low. I know you're still working on it, though. Other than that, this has to be the best set I've heard thus far.

I just got done adding some atmospheric sounds (air releases, etc) to it. I want to tweak the horn proxyxml to have a better distance curve.

I know you must be very busy, but any chance you could demo the horn a bit more? I like what I see in the last video. I really am glad we have people like you here to make new sounds for the sim, otherwise it would be an un-realistic experience for those who pay attention to the sounds of these things. Great work!
PS: If you can't tell, the Genesis series is my favorite locomotive. So, these new sounds just make's railworks even better for me. !*brav*!

Just wondering, is it you that has done some sounds for RSC? If so, why would RSC not include these in an update to overwrite the existing RSC sounds?

That's Sherman Hill, the location I believe was near Hermosa running on the Track 3.
