Here's something I'm currently working on for the game.

It's looking real good.

More progress on the biplane.

ugh... those wings are too heavy. You have too many struts.

Why not try a Tigermoth?
https://www.google.com/search?q=tigermo ... 37&bih=832

Simple, still around today. Great for flying around those tall buildings you made in case a oversized gorilla comes by to check up on his blond girlfriend.

Then we can see how to attached them to a traffic loft, and have them do some touch-n-gos... !!howdy!!

I'll add one of those to the set as well. As well hopefully later a zeppelin airship if I can figure out how to make one.

Edited the wings a little bit, the way I made it if one has to it isn't hard to delete struts.

Also, the airplane is a total of 821 poly.

To help the player attach the plane to a traffic loft, should I release the planes as a single instead of in a set?
The bad thing is they would have to set it high enough so the plane isn't flying through trees and buildings.

......By the way, got on the landing gear and positioned the plane in the correct position for sitting on the ground.

So far, what do you think of it?

Make another version with the prop a circle with a semi transparent look, as if it were spinning. You can also change the rear wear to a skid (depending on when that craft was made). The tips of the propeller should be rounded not pointed (and they are not flat, but at an angle...). Also place some guy wires between the struts.

You do know about there is a hole in your tail, right?

That's how the reference version of the plane used for reference looked.

May I see the reference?

Never mind, was looking at the picture wrong, will have to update that. From the way they took the picture the particular tail section was almost invisible.

Isn't the first time I've missed something on a reference picture.

Alright, I rounded the propeller blade and I fixed the tail.

My new 1930's Biplane 1 V1 in the game.

The biplane flying, now if only could get the propeller animated and be able to make it actually move through the sky.

Don't bother animating it. Just make a semi-transparent circle with a fuzzy (hand drawn should work) propeller.

Here is some fun!

Will have to figure out a way to do that later.

At the moment working on a zeppelin for the set.

I can think of a couple ways to do that. I would first try a sphere with many vertices. Trim the horizontal lines as needed. Then use the shift tool to pull the shape out. Then scale it. After that add all the small parts. Make them children and then you can make several types.

Some progress on the zeppelin airship.

Zeppelin Airship Progress 1.jpg

The galley would have been at the very front of the ship. The lower class galley on the bottom and the high class galley on the top.

The passenger quarters would have been in the center belly of the ship on the bottom for the two floor. The crew quarters would have been on the third floor above the passenger quarters and the rest of the main body was filled with hydrogen balloons.

Unlike a blimp, a airship was rigged and had a frame to support the outer skin.

Hope you like it so far, it came out actually good on poly level, less then 2000.

The thing on the very front was the loading hanger, the very tip was where the passengers would have been loaded on from and above that was the lookout post where the lookout looked for bad weather and other flying machines that might have been in the way.

Some more slow progress. Texturing this will take a while.
