Need BETA testers for the LINC route.

Unread postby MadMike1024 » Sun Jul 22, 2012 11:00 pm

Would you be interested in being one of my BETA testers for the LINC route? I need 5 total. Please PM me if you are interested.

You'll need to have Fort Kent, Phorum Penninsula, and Horseshoe Curve DLC, plus the sw1200 xtra pack from Britkits for payware.

I'll try to get the oddball stuff in an asset pack to save some time.

Thanks folks, I have my testers and the route is in their hands now. Maybe we'll see some screenshots from them.

The route is really nice. It accurately captures the look and feel of the US Northwest. I enjoyed beta testing it last night and look forward to more of the route being completed.

AT the request of two different testers, I've done this map to make scenario creation easier.

This is absolutely brilliant.
I wonder if we could make similar maps for other routes?
Or at least a generic in/out list for industries?
An easy example would be a sawmill: logs in, boards out.
Perhaps this already exists in the scale model universe.

It does exist in the Model Railroad world. I think VORA is doing something very similar.

So far, so good. Only one issue and it was simply resolved. I'd guess that I'll release the V0.5 in the next few weeks.

At this point I want everyone to know:

The route is protolanced rather than realistic.
Minnehaha has maybe 4 sidings.
Should be a heck of a lot of fun for the yard switching crews.
I intend to re-start the sawmill at the EOT.
I may possibly add in the long abandoned logging spur, you'll have a reason for the 44 mile run that way.

After I got past my own mystery issue, This has run very smoothly. No bugs to report at all. Out of town on business and will dive in again as soon as I get back. I have some nice screenies. !*brav*!

OK, I want to ask all of my testers to run the route in RW4 and see if there are any oddities. Please let me know.

If all is well, I'll pack it and upload it as soon as the board is back up.
