Well I have been playing railworks for almost a year just download the pdf's from railsimulator.com. I didn't know much about trains but over the past year I have been playing watching videos reading learned a lot and my childhood obsession is making its way virtual. SO I am going to try to make a locomotive for railworks. I have modeled and put vehicles in other games before like rigs of rods, 18 wos's and farming simulators but I am gonna try this I am pretty quick at learning so here is what I got in a half hour of modeling. Also as I go on this thread please correct any mistakes I make in the train it self. Here is my photo bucket of other work to

Would love to see some of those old trucks in RW as scenery, never a bad time to have scenery from years gone by.

He uses Sketchup with a render software if I recall, I remember IHWood from the Rigs of Rods community (However there they hate Sketchup for some reason). Glad to see ya working on RW3 IHWood!!

I would love to find out how he made some of those old trucks in sketchup. I've been building some vehicles from the 30's, but still unable to figure out how to make something like a 55 Ford truck or 57 Chevrolet Bel Air in it.

Since you are doing the c630, and could you also do the c630m? It's basically the Canadian version which has aunique looked to it with a different nose, air intakes, and radiators.

Come on, Y'all, the guy asked for help. all you are doing is dumping more requests on him! He's asking about what tools for scaling and importing. Y'all know that stuff, he's new to this. Give him a hand!

Scaling: don't need to. 1m in Max ( I'd hope you're using metric, RW is almost all metric ) is 1m in RW. Importing, there are Max export plugins on railsimulator.com, they only work up to Max 2011 though and you can't use the slate material editor in 2011 either. Exporting is easy enough, export as Kuju IGS, and make sure you've got "Use Namespaces" or similar ticked.
