So, Mr. Durdan was making some wonderful models, however he couldn't finish them, as you probably know. Therefore, I am finishing his speeder. I have all permission and such, yadda yadda. His speeder model looked great, but wasn't what I was looking for, therefore I am modifying it to resemble the model I want. Progress:

I'm hope Tori will like it, I think the Chessie one will fit right in on her route.

Update, finished the rounded corner, will start on the other after school. Here in NC it's 9:53, I'm getting tired and have school tomorrow. Also removed the back posts and control stand in preparation to make the operator's stool and proper back posts for this model Fairmont.

I must say, looking great, but keep a eye on the polygon level though, it can make a small item unuasually large.

Thanks for the support yall, I'll keep checking the polys. Finished rounding the last corner, now on to the hard part, the back roof supports.

Also, how do you round the corners like that in sketchup? That's something that I still don't know how to do and I think it would be quite useful.

I do it the slow, painful way. By that, I mean I make curved lines that get lower from the front to the back, and then connect the lines together with a perpendicular line, remembering to cross each newly formed square.

UPDATE! Finished the rear roof supports, added a grille. Time for the controls and seat, then onto the headlight and finally the dreaded trucks....

Did some work on the floor and front, as well as the grill, fixed up a few rough spots. Any volunteers to make the headlight? :P It's impossible looking to do in Sketchup, but I'll try!

Thanks! Funny offtopic, there was a Trains magazine article a while back about some Monty Python loving ex BC Rail employees who played tricks on the CN guys. The CN diesel doctor was on the radio:
CN Guy: "so your locomotives dead?"
Conductor: "I'm not dead yet!"
CN Guy:" What? Who's there!"
Engineer: "That was the locomotive!!"
CN Guy: "You guys have weird power..." *hangs up*
!*roll-laugh*!

A picture of it, I can probably make the headlight in Crafter if Mike can't make it.
