Alco MRS-1 High Nose diesel locomotive.

Have put the steam aside for now to try to get a train car and diesel locomotive into the game. The streamliner turned out to be a failure so I had to scrap it.

Here's another project I'm working on for the game, a Alco C-420 high nose version.

That looks good so far. Keep it up and before you know it you will have a complete model. Some old Alco power would be sweet. Just make sure the smoke is set up to blow nice and thick and black. These old beasts were mighty sooty.

A friend of mine wants to finish this model, so I've decided to build a Alco MRS-1 instead. I like the MRS-1 more anyways. And I won't have a problem with the corner curves since there are none of those indents that makes it impossible to curve the corners on this one to proper standards.

If he never finishes it I will continue this one.

Here's the first progress of the Alco RSX4 project.

And here's a picture of the real Alco MRS-4 locomotive, I remember seeing one of these in a kids train movie when I was young, always did like the locomotive.

well the first part of the rivite counters cirtisism; your front catwalk is way too long compaired to the picture, it looks like a SD40's chassi instead of the alco.bv !**duh*!!

Still have some more editing to do before it will be correct.

As well, here's a little more progress on the engine.

Here's some more progress.

But going to have to make the nose longer though, I believe I have mine too short.
I'll be working on the front piece that runs near the track.

Well, I fixed the nose, but I'll have to redo the railing though.

Redid the front railing to correct.

Just put on the first side ladder, next I'll work on the front and back plow and build the lower step ladders.

Started work on the Alco MRS1 3D Cab.

Plan for the entire train to be freeware and my future Burlington Zephyr to be payware.

But the Alco MRS1 will be freeware.

A little more progress on the cab.

Alco MRS1 3D Cab 2.jpg

By the way, I believe it's from the same era as the F-Unit.

Once I finish the body and get the trucks and wheels on I'll try to get it into the game. But leave it to be known, it will come just as a default gray, without any kind of paint sceme since I can't paint bodies.

And here's what the real Alco MRS 1 cab looks like.

A little more progress on the body.

Re-edited the nose and back section to look a little more to the prototype. Will have to round the corners some in Crafter if I can.
