Greetings Drivers.

I'll be working hard to upgrade my King's Arm Highway route.
The upgraded version will be called "King's Arm Highway Deluxe"
http://www.rryard.com/kings_arm_deluxe.html

** Update: This route project is now completed and available from my website. ** :D

I will be working with the original base route and make many new additions and improvements to it such as;
improving the track and signalling network & infrastructure, expanding on the track network in some areas, add in structures / areas for loading and unloading coal-hoppers, a functional coal-transfer point for refueling Steam-Locomotive Tenders, a container / shipping yard area with working cranes for loading and unloading container-cars, improved lighting effects added in some areas, adding to and improving the scenery in some areas, many new exciting, challenging and immersive scenarios (with a good variety of Passenger runs, Freight Runs, Shunting / Switching activities).

For more info and updates on this project, you can visit "The Rail Road Yard Blog" at:

I'm confused: your screenshots show both european and north-american motive power, and your blog don't mention where the route is situated. Does it span the Atlantic? :D

I gave Don a hard time about mixing up rolling stock and motive power on the original King's Arm Highway. It's fictional, so anything works. !**duh*!!

Yep. Like most of my work, they are completely "fictional based", so I tend to use a variety of mixed assets. So like Chris mentions, "Anything goes" *!!wink!!*
This "Deluxe" version of this route I'm making is using the the original King's Arm Highway route to build, expand and improve upon, I do mention on the page for the original route, http://www.rryard.com/kings_arm.html , that it's a Fictional route.

I sort of approach making any of my projects from an "Artist's" perspective. I like to be free to use my imagination and creativity how I like, without just being limited or restricted to "real-life" based routes or rules.
Though my routes & scenarios I make may be sometimes "non-prototypical", I try my best to make them of good quality, functional and fun.

It's probably best to try any of my route & scenario addons with an open-mind.
I like to also think of my routes as being a good way to drive and experience a whole variety of trains on, regardless of what rolling-stock or assets I may use.
Feel welcome to try some of my existing addons, and you may (hopefully) have a lot of enjoyment with them.

For some reason this reminds me of this interesting site.
It is a locomotive graveyard somewhere in UK, but there is an EMD loco.

I'm not surprised. EMD has built locomotives for pretty much everybody. I'd be more surprised if there was a country anywhere with a decent railroad network that didn't have at least a few U.S.-built locomotives.

I'm going to go out on a limb & say that's actually in Belgium. Pretty sure the first EMD import here was the Foster Yeoman SW1001. Big list of imports here, if you care :)

Slight problem with UK coaching stock and low platforms, otherwise who cares :)
