Looks good! Iowa Northern is now part of the CN. Their Waterloo, IA yard / shops are about 20 minutes away from the house. During the winter months, they use a couple of ex-Amtrak F40's with one or two slugs spliced in between. The F40's seem to do better handling the snow. I've also seen HLMX units on the property, although since the CN merger, sets of SD70ACE's can be seen switching the yard on occasion. Besides serving various grain elevators, Iowa Northern also serves the Trinity car repair shop in Shellrock and the John Deere assembly plant in Waterloo. For a number of years, they also ran a Hawkeye Express passenger special to help with University of Iowa game day congestion. I believe the specials have stopped, as I haven't seen the ex-CNW bilevel passenger cars or the F40's.
Iowa Northern Roster, although a bit dated
