I admit I have a soft spot for this Duluth Missabe & Iron Range livery, so since it was impossible to repaint the SD9 from Train Sim Classic due to technical issues, I chose the SD40-2 High Nose from HIS to do this repaint. There will be three locomotives with unique numbers. The first one is almost finished, but it's coming along nicely.

And here is the final version of the SD40-2 Duluth Missabe & Iron Range locomotive. This one is more like an SD9, like the originals, but as I said earlier, the SD9 available on Train Simulator doesn't allow for certain things, such as the logos on the side, among other things. And since they are both equipped with six axles, no one should object.

What about using Great Northerner's freeware SD7/9? If it follows the same template as his Geeps, it should work for this scheme. Just a thought.

Hello cnwfan, yes, I am familiar with Great Northerner's SD7 and SD9, but unfortunately the low definition, the fact that most of the controls don't work, and the doors and windows that don't open mean that I have no interest in working on these models.
