Well Buzz you are onto a probable track but not enough targeted, thus in my early hours in my bed this pesty problem would keep churning in my mind and I asked myself a few logical questions:
1) where would a dynamic number
be to override the only number specified within the
SW1200_Pogwassek_Numbers.dcsv file?
2) While testing rolling-stock it is always within a free roam scenario, if a scenario, thus is the answer within?
3) if there, where is the information stored? and is there a link with the
Scenario.bin file of the free roam scenario? after all every piece of rolling stock is stored in that file.
Thus I researched and here are my very interesting revelations :
1) In the scenario + rolling stock editor, click on the
Pogwassek SW1200 locomotive and it launches the loco properties (small window on right side of screen).
Pogwassek SW1200, v beaver nb overlap.jpg
--- Interesting fact : the xxx produces the number 10 over my beaver logo; thus if not specified it looks for a link in the base file!
2)
Pogwassek SW1200, v beaver NO nb textures.jpg
By altering the parameter to
x24, the result is very informative : only 2 textures files missing, NOT 3 (as in the
SW1200_Pogwassek_numbers file) I placed one entry - the
number_x as a transparent texture. *** for me this is the answer I shall use to declare every digit as transparent. Thus not interfering with static number painted on the cab side.
3) to answer my third question, is there any information within the
Scenario.bin file? and sure enough the dynamic number is specified in the lines
InitialRVScenario screengrab.jpg
4) Conclusion. The solution is to make sure that NO ENTRY is specified in the small window
Pogwassek SW1200, v beaver nb 24 clean.jpg
Now I shall fix the proper
SW1200_Pogwassek_numbers file) and hope this problem/solution will help other artist in this fun hobby
