I need help from all the artists that are familiar with repainting of DTM EMD SW1200 switcher.

I'm in the process of finalizing the Pogwassek Island RR version with 2 switchers, 1) DTM EMD SW1200 and 2) Dogmouse Alco S2.The Alco S2 switcher is finished and ready for upload. But the SW1200 is my hurdle!

Problem : getting rid of the white number 10 over my new Pogwassek logo, !*don-know!* I've searched every .bin and number files and I cannot locate that pesty number! **!!bang!!** see my attached screengrabs :

Any clues where that number 10 is located? !*don-know!* By the way it is NOWHERE on the locomotive texture file, named ¨HOOD¨
N.B.: you'll notice it also appears on the rear of the cab next or over the small 24,

Thanks, Bernard

Quick question Bernard, what specific base model did you use?

I use the SW1200_DRGW geopvdx model from the SW1200-DRG package (I believe it’s the base model for all other clone liveries).

Did you alter the SW1200DRGW_numbers file in any way?

Yes. Just changed the name. The content was not changed.

By the way, I have changed this type of file with success - I have produced an ochre yellow font for number 1-9 + x (for a transparent digit) for the S2 switcher as seen in the above foto (I.e. # 124). Not difficult but tedious as one has to alter 10 texture files. Thus the mystery is buried elsewhere, but where…

You might look at other SW1200 you might have installed and make certain yours is not looking at one of those numbers. It sure looks like that to me. John did several other roads squeezing the numbers down to two from the three that the original come from. You mystery numbers sure look positioned for dynamic numbering system for the SW1200.

Well Buzz you are onto a probable track but not enough targeted, thus in my early hours in my bed this pesty problem would keep churning in my mind and I asked myself a few logical questions:
1) where would a dynamic number be to override the only number specified within the SW1200_Pogwassek_Numbers.dcsv file?
2) While testing rolling-stock it is always within a free roam scenario, if a scenario, thus is the answer within?
3) if there, where is the information stored? and is there a link with the Scenario.bin file of the free roam scenario? after all every piece of rolling stock is stored in that file.

Thus I researched and here are my very interesting revelations :
1) In the scenario + rolling stock editor, click on the Pogwassek SW1200 locomotive and it launches the loco properties (small window on right side of screen).
Pogwassek SW1200, v beaver nb overlap.jpg

--- Interesting fact : the xxx produces the number 10 over my beaver logo; thus if not specified it looks for a link in the base file!

2)
Pogwassek SW1200, v beaver NO nb textures.jpg

By altering the parameter to x24, the result is very informative : only 2 textures files missing, NOT 3 (as in the SW1200_Pogwassek_numbers file) I placed one entry - the number_x as a transparent texture. *** for me this is the answer I shall use to declare every digit as transparent. Thus not interfering with static number painted on the cab side.

3) to answer my third question, is there any information within the Scenario.bin file? and sure enough the dynamic number is specified in the lines InitialRV
Scenario screengrab.jpg

4) Conclusion. The solution is to make sure that NO ENTRY is specified in the small window

Now I shall fix the proper SW1200_Pogwassek_numbers file) and hope this problem/solution will help other artist in this fun hobby !*YAAA*!
