after a few hours of fighting the textures to correctly update I can now start progressing on this slowly.
This will use the VRC C39-8 on the steam store ---> https://store.steampowered.com/app/6219 ... oco_AddOn/

highly recommend it (it has roadrailers too!)

more progress :)
It will be the Drone variant that comes with the pack (isn't able to be driven as far as i know). It has the ditch lights in the right spot and the marker lights.

will go back and darken the numbers.
some of the texture mapping is so backasswards but ive managed to make it work. might try and find the number boards and see if i can get them correct too. Otherwise it's pretty much finished. :)

Looks good. I've always liked running that VRC unit. It will make a nice addition to the Miami route. !!*ok*!!

I take it that this is a road slug and must be paired with a mother/primary unit? I found this on TrainOrders "Non Powered slugs are set up to pull current generated by the powered engine and apply it over the traction motors of the non powered unit. This increased tractive effort is most effective at low speeds, i.e. switching or starting heavy cuts from a stop, but drops off significantly as speed is increased. CSXT's road slugs are configured with a controlling cab and are frequently paired up long term with their powered mates. Many sets are equipped for fuel transfer to the powered unit as well. The fuel acts as ballast for the non powered unit. Slugs will frequently be ballasted with concrete if, by design, not intended as a fuel tender. The connections required for the current and fuel transfer make separation of the two units, for whatever reason, problematic in the field, hence long term pairings. I am fairly certain that most CSXT road slug pairs are equipped with dynamics, but my exposure to them is limited."

I dont know how VRC has it set up entirely (they have a lead and trail version of these both of which should be painted in CSX, yet neither will operate like a standard engine) the best way is to just have it as a trailing unit in your consist
