Reppo's GP20, repainted in Canadian Pacific colors, is almost finished. Numbered from 2201 to 2222.

I like the idea of it. Is this meant to be a "stand-in" for a GP9u?

Unless you really care enough, it might be better to use the BN GP20 instead of the SP so it wouldn't have that mars light on the nose. Though doing that would lose the autonumbering, so it's kind of a double-edged sword.

Thank you for your comments and autonumbering is exactly why I didn't choose the GP20 BN. I'm getting tired of repainting single-numbered locos.

I agree, it is frustrating as well as limiting. The only choice allowing dynamic numbering is the SP version as the WP version (with dynamic numbering) is Hi-hood. For those who want a version without the Mars light contraption why not try repainting the BN version themselves. I prefer a "near" version rather than no version.
