CNW F-3 A&B Original Scheme

Unread postby GogebicChief » Thu Apr 13, 2023 3:45 am

I thought I would add some CNW history to the wonderful F3's. The CNW's shipped in the pack are actually the F-3's the CNW got with the Chicago Great Western merger. This was the paint scheme the CNW Freight F Units had when they left EMD, and were used right up until, the last train ore left the Gogebic Range. I have about 24 hours on these. This scheme is not easy, and the nose is a bear to get right. I made the choice to make the the front sand hatch right, so the back hatch is not exactly right..

I have to figure out how I am going to number these, so it might be a bit. Hope these meet Your approval. Stefan :D

Good Day: I hope you did not think I flaked-out, and did not finish them. !*roll-laugh*! I had some life stuff get in the way. Now they are all done. I covered all but 1 of the CNW "Covered Wagons". I also thought that they needed some Cabooses, so I did them too. See Below:
F3's:

F7's Frt:

F7 Passenger:

E-8's:

Now since they are "1-Of" because of the Numbers etc. Also because I think they are kind of a Niche, Just drop a PM & I will send You Link to them, plus if you have a favorite locomotive number I will do them. The F-3's & Bay Window Caboose are DTM's. The F7's & Cupola Caboose are HIS from the ATSF pack. Of course the E-8's are from DTG's AMTRAK Pack. They will be in folder form and just paste the GEOPCDX file in to them. I also made different number Non Driver ones. The "B" Units do not have big numbers on them, so mix & match away. Since CNW did not have dedicated F7B's for passenger Service, I did not do one. I hope I am not breaking any rules.

All I have to do is keep hoping that "Santa Claus", The Easter Bunny", The Great Pumpkin", or "Lucky Leprechaun" make a CNW Bi-Level, and life would be good.. !!*ok*!! Stefan

Oh Boy!!!!! Yes that is the "Holy Grail" I have been seeking. !*salute*! **!!bow!!** !*cheers*! !*YAAA*! !!*ok*!! *!lol!* I spent many hours in Cars #702 & 704. I remember almost getting left in Green Bay, one Christmas Holiday. The heat in the car broke, and they substituted a Commuter Coach, but I was in the "Vendo-Mat" in the Station, and did not catch switch. !DUH! Remember "Vendo-Mat's" ? The famous Green Bay Station had a big one. Lots of goodies. *!!wink!!* Ok how much will hose Gems Cost. - Stefan

Let me get these packed up and out here. I'll let you beta these things to see if we have our act together. You will need the 'The Race Track Route' for these to work.

Oh Goodie - Goodie, I bought that Route right off the bat when I switched to Railworks, thinking that those Metra Cars would come in handy.. The fact that there are the "Homemade" Lounge & Diner / RPO is so awesome. The 16 Window & 24 Window versions, is out of this world! **!!bow!!** *!!thnx!!* *!!thnx!!* !*brav*! !*cheers*! *&!welcome!&*. It might seem strange that I get all excited about all the versions of Bi-Levels, given the fact when #153 (Flambeau 400) left Green Bay, the consist was usually 1 or 2 Coaches. But between Green Bay & Milwaukee, I used to roam up and down that Train. All I can say is "Bless You"! Stefan
BTW: Mike - You better be working hard on that "Valley Division", because that full train in Buzz's Shots needs some place to go... *!!wink!!* :D
