Beautiful! You're getting to be a machine at turning out C424s!

Thanks Touzzz, I really appreciate your phantastic work.

I would just mention that there are two better methods calling the decal models from "Buzz\Misc". With the method you use these repaints are not compatible to quickdrives. I know, you can check Buzz / Misc in the route editor and then the models are loaded in quickdrive, too. But you have to do that on every route you want to drive.

Method 1:
You can load the model in Buzz\Misc when you move the blueprint below of Assets\DieselWorkshop\AlcoC424\ and call this blueprint in the blueprint of the loco.
This may look like this:
Code: Select all
                     <ChildName d:type="cDeltaString">Conrail_Decal</ChildName>
                     <BlueprintID>
                        <iBlueprintLibrary-cAbsoluteBlueprintID>
                           <BlueprintSetID>
                              <iBlueprintLibrary-cBlueprintSetID>
                                 <Provider d:type="cDeltaString">DieselWorkshop</Provider>
                                 <Product d:type="cDeltaString">AlcoC424</Product>
                              </iBlueprintLibrary-cBlueprintSetID>
                           </BlueprintSetID>
                           <BlueprintID d:type="cDeltaString">Buzz\Misc\Decals\C424 Conrail\GP38-2_Sides.xml</BlueprintID>

And in DieselWorkshop\AlcoC424\Buzz\Misc\Decals\C424 Conrail\GP38-2_Sides.xml (exactly: GP38-2_Sides.bin) you call the model with this unmodified entry:
Code: Select all
<GeometryID d:type="cDeltaString">Buzz456\Misc\Decals\C424 Conrail\[00]GP38-2_Sides</GeometryID>

This loads the model GP38-2_Sides.GeoPcDx directly from Assets\Buzz\Misc\, even if you have not ticked this folder in the editor.

Method 2:
You can have even more convenience, especially if, like me, you like to forget to move the folders with the decals to assets when you want to drive the loco.
I always have only a part of my assets in Railworks, there are just too many.
Here you can simply move the Buzz\Misc folder completely to DieselWorkshop\AlcoC424\, because DieselWorkshop does not use DRM (with DRM it would not work !).
You can use the same entry in the loco as above, but you have to adjust the path in DieselWorkshop\AlcoC424\Buzz\Misc\Decals\C424 Conrail\GP38-2_Sides.xml :
Code: Select all
<GeometryID d:type="cDeltaString">DieselWorkshop\AlcoC424\Buzz456\Misc\Decals\C424 Conrail\[00]GP38-2_Sides</GeometryID>

If you want to publish it this way, you should ask for the author's permission out of respect for him.
But the method is very practical and reliable and everybody can see who was a helping hand for you (and us).

Really nice job Jtou. Any chance you can modify the number font to be the bold signature Conrail font?

Image

(yes I know this is a c425 and not a 424)

Thanks EngineerJohn! I could change the font but It would be one number for each unit. If you don't mind I can make one unit with that font.

If you will send me a zipped set of numbers, I will change the font so that all numbers are used.

Hi Harry, I tried to change the font without success. Can you take the set of fonts directly from the texture folder and make the change? Not sure to understand correctly sorry !*don-know!*
