Zawal's Road .

Hello, from now on I will post here my future routes for the USA.

So I'm obviously starting a new road. *!greengrin!*

This time, we go to Colorado in 1888. !*YAAA*!


You must have the following DLC ​​for this route:

-Union Pacific No. 119 Steam Loco Add-On
-Clear Creek Narrow Gauge Route Add-On
-Clear Creek Log & Lumber Expansion Pack Add-On
-Clear Creek Old Timer Rolling Stock Pack Add-On
- The assets of Kuju US and Euro too.


It is not very realistic, because there is not much on this subject, besides there are not many roads in his years !!
I will therefore do my best to try to give the illusion that in 1890 we will be a few steps away in Colorado.


It's been a long time since I wanted to make a route for my steam locomotives from those years ago, notably the UP n 119, the CPRR 4-4-0 and other machines bought at "Machinerail".

I want to create a road where we can switch from the standard track to the 1000 mm track as we see fit.
So we can take turns driving a UP n 119 for example, arrive at their destination and why not continue with a small Narrow Gauge.


For this route I used the actual terrain and the actual track from a current line which I adapted to make it look like the 1890s.

The standard track is 19 miles, I think that's enough for fun, it takes almost 40 minutes to cover it at 30 mph or more depending on the slopes and the loco used.
The entire road is uphill, this varies from 02% to 3% for the last mile (the devil's slope) knowing that the last tier has an average of 2%.



I have already made a lot of progress and to tell the truth I have already finished the 19 miles of standard track for the UP 119 and other 4-4-0 CPRRs.
There are 3 passenger stations, and 3 depots to store a few freight cars.

we can either provide passenger services or freight services.

Now I will start the "narrow gauge" part.
This is not the easiest part, I have to adapt the terrain so as not to exceed slopes of 2 or 2.5% maximum.
This portion will not be very large, the goal being to make it fun to get some grums and other crates.

Other locos that you might consider are the BritKits metre-gauge stable - including Shays...

The installation of the narrow gauge rails is finished.

The sawmill is finished and therefore the unload logs as seen as it is on the other side of the lake.

I only have the lumber camps left (yes there will be two load logs).

Okay now I'm going to rest a bit, I just took the Wyoming DLC on American truck simulator (yes I also drive in the US in a truck *!greengrin!* ), it's very very beautiful, full of good ideas to take for future roads. ..

Visually - very nice. Structurally, that Thru-Truss span would collapse the supporting structure….many, many tons there.

You're right, this bridge was not great. *!embar*!

Good...

All rails, bridges and markers are laid.

I finished all the towns, villages, stations and other little things. !*YAAA*!
6 stations in total including 3 larger than the others which are only single stops.

I have completely finished the first half of the map, so I have the other half to finish, only the vegetation (the longest).

I don't even know how many miles she's doing, I'll do a quick drive to see but I'll say a good 25 miles. !*don-know!*

To tell you the truth, it's a very big piece of the sherman hill that I have completely redone from scratch, I start from the exit of Cheyenne and I go to hermosa through the most tortuous side.

All the names of the stops are fictitious, in any case you would not recognize the original route because I have redone everything (there is no trace of the sherman)

In fact I just wanted this piece which was suitable to make my way, the terrain was just what I needed to give the illusion of the "far west" as in the films of Clint Estwood.

OK.

I just built a quick drive and it's 31 miles the length of the road !!! *!greengrin!*

I didn't think it would be that big, 1 hour and 10 minutes at 30 mph on average without stops at the stations is pretty good.
I did the 1st half to see a little what it gave and I must say that I did not even see the time passed, I took 40 minutes because with the slopes I had trouble maintaining the 30 mph all the time.

You should know that I usually test my roads twice.
Once the rails have been laid to see if the% slope is not too high and if I have no other problems on the rails and once finished to see if everything is going well in terms of decoration.

In fact it's super beautiful, it's really what I had in mind for this route, I am not disappointed with my work for the moment.
I had the music from the mysteries of the west series in my head as I rolled! !!det!!

I do not put too much screen on you, already because it is rather desertic but above all I do not want to show you the road in all its details.

I would put two or three screens for you once my work is finished, then I could UP on the workshop for everyone. !*cheers*!

This looks good, I don't have the required routes, but have you ever considered a route set in 1937 along the New York Central RR.
