Pennsylvania Railroad Horseshoe Curve & New Portage Railroad Freight Route
(PRR HSC & New Portage Freight Route)

First of all and most important to save a lot of confusion, this is not a historical recreation of the ROW for these routes, its more of a functional representation. I haven't the time or the monies to afford actual track charts of the ROW.

This 3rd party representation of this route is constructed using the DTG/HSC files as a copy, and then extended from there. The user still needs to have purchased the DTG/HSC route to have the assets on the users computer rig to run this route. The HSC route and the addon extension route run as one route and uses its own GUID for the project, so the original DTG/HSC route is not disturbed in any way.

There are those who, in our online community, would rather criticize in a negative way as hindsight about what members have created. And, we all know hindsight is always 20/20. With that said, I would like any comments to be critically positive and if so, have proof to backup the claims of adjustment or relocation. Any and all positive input with regards to the construction of this route will be considered as long as the claim has proof as backup. Remember, this is a functional representation and any accuracy of location and adjustment will be as accurate as the limitations of the Train Simulator will allow. This also applies to super elevated track which can be a real bear to work with and change.

The route as it stands has 4 track mainline from Johnstown to Huntingdon, and the New Portage Freight route is 2 track from Petersburg to Tunnelhill. I tried to keep the feel of the HSC route, but things change over the years and I used what I could to the best of my abilities.

I have made a video of the route work as is as of the current date of this presentation. There was no attempt to make it look professional in any way.

In conclusion, I will work on this route and do my best to make it enjoyable. Any input by members of the RWA to help with modifications will be considered as long as proof of the changes is presented. I will also supply updates on my One Drive account of the route files, which a date of the initial release will be presented soon. This route should only need the HSC payware route to work. All necessary additional files will be supplied with updates. There is a chance additional payware will be added unless suitable assets can be found.
